Hey NG. Thought i'd just drop by a little news post to let you guys know that i've uploaded the EP, Voices, by my ambient/experimental side project, Safe Room, for all you guys to enjoy. Obviously you can find it by scrolling down to my audio submissions. It's somewhere down there. That's about it for now, but if you like the stuff, you can find more safe room at http://www.last.fm/music/safe+room . The album for next year, "Panic!" will end up there first. It's a somewhat lengthier process to upload a whole album to Newgrounds.
That's all for now Newgrounds!

So i suppose you'll want the full story. Being the lead vocalist and one of the guitarists for my band, Just A Thought, meant that i was particularly nervous about playing this particular gig. We play a mix of Rock/Metal/Alternative, and our setlist for that night, due to our own song knowledge limits, leant more towards the gentle end of that scale. Not too bad until you consider that the crowd was supposed to be a group of 300 raving metalheads.
Standing on the stage it looked like we were playing to about One hundred people, and, as we powered disastrously through our opener, it seemed the night was doomed to be a failure. Still, i felt on top of the world, and i couldn't have felt better, than when, as the last note faded away, cheering positively erupted from the crowd. It was just uphill from then on in. We got a fantastic response, as an unknown band, playing the first slot, at our first proper gig, to a crowd of metal-hungry scenesters. Success? I think so, and we'll be going back, with heavier, faster songs.
